The Venosta Valley  Museum was founded as a museum for the middle and upper Venosta Valley in 1997 in the course of the archaeological excavations at Ganglegg. 

Situated in the centre of the village of Sluderno/Schluderns, the Venosta Valley Museum aims at showing the visitors some typical and distinctive themes of the past, the present and the future of Venosta Valley region.

The Vinschgau Valley is both a landscape and a narrative space. The exhibition combines images from the Bernhart Collection with literature and listening stations to create a vibrant cultural map of the valley.
